Effective date: May 24, 2026 Last updated: May 24, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the if you ask mobile application (“if you ask,” “the app”). The app is published by Yuchuan Shan, an individual developer based in Massachusetts, USA (“we,” “us,” “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the app on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment. This license is granted by us; the Apple App Store and Google Play Store distribute the app on our behalf but are not parties to these Terms.
The app is a conversation game intended for personal entertainment. You agree not to:
The questions and prompts shown in the app are intended as starting points for conversation between consenting adults or among friends and family. They are not therapeutic, medical, or professional advice. You are responsible for choosing what to share and what not to share when playing. We are not responsible for the content of conversations you have while using the app.
The app is sold as a paid download through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. All purchases and refunds are handled by those platforms under their respective terms. We do not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds outside of the App Store or Play Store refund processes.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or operating system version.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to it will not exceed the amount you paid to download it.
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes the (very limited) ways the app handles information. In short: the app collects no personal data.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, note the change in the app’s store listing. Your continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms remain in effect while you use the app. You may stop using it and delete it at any time. We may suspend or terminate the license granted in Section 1 if you materially breach these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
